Welcome to my blog called "Stanza Stories". As a poet, there is a deeper message that words can unveil. Let's Take A Deeper Look
Now, let's focus one part of them:
"So I'll keep it in my rib page of love, that way you'll become bone of my bone, flesh of my flesh, the Genesis of all love written by God. So I'll make sure I study you year after year, when valleys are low and mountains high, praise your growth, our growth together, feeling each other is broken, making our hearts hope. "
This part of the poem was inspired by Geness 2:21-25, which states:
So the Lord God caused the man to fall into a deep sleep; while the man slept, the Lord God took out one of the man's ribs and closed up the opening. Then the Lord God made a woman from the rib he had taken out of the man, and he brought her to the man. At last the man exclaimed, “This one is bone of my bone and flesh of my flesh! She will be called ‘woman,’ because she was taken from ‘man.’” This explains why a man leaves his father and mother and is joined to his wife, and the two are united into one. Now the man and his wife were both naked, but they felt no shame."
What Stook Out To Me
So, let me tell you what blew my mind when reading this. Notice, Adam was asleep when God brought Eve. He wasn't looking but steady working hard on his assignment. The person that God has for you is not only a good thing but you are also compatible. This means that when God has someone first for us, they're a good thing and that person better be compatible. If they're not compatible, they're going to hurt.
Then I began to think, of all the bones in the body why did God pick a rib? The rib provides protection, support, and respiration. Not only do you protect and support each other in a relationship, but you're all supposed to breathe life into each other. You can't be boring, you can't not have your partner help them on their goals or strive for their goals. You need to breathe life, make them uncomfortable, and push them to do things that you see in them but they don't.
My Message
My message is for everyone, whether you're a Christian or not. If you're searching for that person in a relationship, don't be searching. Just do whatever you have to do, do your assignment, heal, go to sleep, and let God handle it because he already got the match. Don't be breaking any more ribs.
